The Georgios Karaiskakis stadium is a UEFA Category 4 elite all-seater arena located in Piraeus, Greece, and serves as the iconic home ground of Olympiacos FC. Originally built in 1895 as the Neo Phaliron Velodrome for the first modern 1896 Olympic Games, the venue was completely rebuilt in a record 14 months into a modern, football-specific stadium for the Athens 2004 Olympics, currently holding a capacity of 32,115 to 33,300 spectators. Named after the Greek War of Independence hero Georgios Karaiskakis, the stadium is renowned for its electric matchday atmosphere and its hosting of major European events, including the 1971 European Cup Winners' Cup Final, the 2023 UEFA Super Cup, and a planned 53,000+ seat expansion project announced in 2026.
