Panathinaikos

Panathinaikos FC (officially PAE Panathinaikos) is one of the oldest, most successful, and widely supported professional football clubs in Greece. Based in the capital city of Athens, the club was founded on February 3, 1908, by pioneering athlete Giorgos Kalafatis. Domestically, they have won an elite collection of silverware: 20 Super League Greece Titles, 20 Greek Cups and 3 Greek Super Cups. Panathinaikos holds a unique spot in Greek football history as the only Greek club to ever reach a European Cup / UEFA Champions League Final. Managed by legendary Hungarian player Ferenc Puskás, they played in the 1971 European Cup Final at Wembley Stadium against Ajax. They also reached the tournament's semi-finals in 1985 and 1996.
