The Greek Super Cup is an annual association football match organized by the Hellenic Football Federation (HFF) that matches the reigning champions of Super League Greece against the holders of the Greek Football Cup. Originally founded in 1980, the competition historically ran under different names—such as the Friendship and Solidarity Cup—before experiencing prolonged periods of cancellation due to safety concerns and scheduling conflicts. Following an 18-year hiatus after 2007, the tournament was officially revived by the HFF, restructuring the format so that if a single club wins the domestic "double," the league champions instead face the runners-up of the Greek Cup. In terms of tournament records, Olympiacos stands as the most successful club with 5 titles, while Cretan side OFI is the current titleholder after securing a historic penalty shootout victory over AEK Athens in the edition held in August.
