Asteras Tripolis

Asteras Aktor F.C. (historically known as Asteras Tripolis F.C.) is a prominent Greek professional football club based in Tripoli, Arkadia. Founded on March 26, 1931, the club spent its early decades in the local leagues before embarking on an extraordinary rise, achieving a "triple jump" of consecutive promotions from the fourth tier to reach the elite Greek Super League in 2007. Playing their home matches at the Theodoros Kolokotronis Stadium, the "Yellow-Blues" have secured several landmark achievements, most notably finishing as the Greek Cup runners-up in the 2012–13 season and qualifying for the UEFA Europa League group stages in back-to-back seasons (2014–15 and 2015–16), making them a tough nut to crack, especially when they're playing on their home ground.
