In this case, a merger announced in the summer at the start of the season is no longer valid after six months, and we are back to having the team that was there before. I completely agree with those who say that the Italian database is a mess, with all the bankruptcies and mergers that take place every year. Unfortunately, the entire Italian football pyramid needs to be reformed by reducing the number of teams participating in the various leagues, reducing the amount of money required for registration, and introducing much stricter fiscal controls. In Italy, we are used to seeing three or four teams disappear each season, and sometimes even more. Obviously, this is not a criticism of you. But a name change should not require all these procedures to be reported and implemented, as if it were happening in real life. All the more so if the old club is already in the database. There is the same problem with Forsempronese in the DB. From this season onwards, the team has officially returned to being called Fossombrone (the town where it originated), but in the DB it is still registered as Forsempronese. The year of foundation, 1949, is the same on the new logo, so there is no doubt about it.
