Central because the team were located all over Whangarei and brown because the strip was that colour - Central Brown was born.

After an extensive search (trust me I tried) I can't find any team with a cup of tea as a logo or Yorkshire tea . There is a team in Jacksonville Florida called Jacksonville Tea Men. Their logo is a ship which I can only imagine is a nod to the tea trade before they tipped tea into Boston Marina (This still makes me shed a tear) 1
