So I'm waiting on some logos for the updates and need a break from kits. 😆

I decided to try something a bit different.

What do you think? I know some pics include old kits but it's more the look I'm working on. Screenshots on Material skin provided below.

hehehe, not sure if it’s efootball, but there is a game out there with similar dynamic patterns for portraits, i think -- or maybe i’m imagining things 🤣

concept is great, how about a comparison with a less prominently applied oil painting effect (i think it’s that filter, right?). in any case, i like this better than the full body action portraits!

There are probably hundreds of examples similar to this but it's just a random set of lines I've warped 🤣

The oil filter is one of several used yes but I might change that in another version.

I'll revisit this or make something else once I've the kits finished.

This probably won't end up being a facepack style but certain elements will be part of one.

These are dope! How do you make it from original to HD tho? Also i love the lines but not so much the background behind the lines, dunno why.

just seeing these now, i barely check anything outside the logo thread, because buidling the portrait database takes up all of the time at the moment. gold! the dual lighting effect is applied brilliantly, looks natural (as if shot that way initially).

@Milho28 you have several sharpening options/filters in photoshop and other graphics applications, which have become better over time, and with the addition of ai, there are a lot more possibilities.

1. camera raw filter -> there is an option for sharpening in the »details« section of the menu;
2. high pass filter (this is where it’s at) as well and then you pick the blend mode that has the best effect - usally something between soft light and linear light;
3. adding contrast also gives the viewer the impression that the image is sharper.

there are also options for both opacity and fill, which are not the same. worth checking out tutorials online. an example (for portraits skip to around minute 13):

this picture is basically already sharp and hd. if you have a low quality picture to start with, it won’t turn out this way.

Sorry for taking so long at answering to you but yeah meanwhile i've been using camera raw filter, i used settings that i saw on a "photoshop chatgpt" thingy.

Because of that, i might use way too much settings haha for example, i do use clarity on camera raw filter, i do use sharpening but like 40-70, i don't think i have that "high pass filter" cause my photoshop is from 2019 lmao, but yeah i wanted to see that filter in action for other parts of the face.

Here's the results of the photo manipulation i use but it's far from the greatness of @Derek (ignore the eyes, just look at the face itself)
