Moderators Johno Posted June 24 Moderators Posted June 24 Thanks to Google Gemini for the title idea Have been playing moneyball with Wolves, after being inspired by Clayts and Munstermann. You can find them on youtube, I would definitely recommend it! Holidayed the first season and Wolves caught my eye, they finished 11th and qualified for Conference League after winning Carabao Cup, took over end the season. Currently, in my second season with them. 2nd Season Weird thing was that Tottenham won the title at Arsenal after beating them! Finished 6th and beat Liverpool to win Carabao Cup. Also won Conference League Transfers Going to pick few decent ones, that have made huge impact. Have to say this is the best signing I have made by far, joined the club in January 2025, impressive record! Another top class signing in goal for us, Been superb. Genuinely can't believe how I got him for 6M, What a signing and already dominating in 3rd season. Was top of the charts on key passes and passes completed while using FMdatalab It may looks painfully slow to look at data but absoutely worth it in the end, I wouldn't even sign any of those players if I wasn't doing moneyball 3rd season so far Amazed how we have started the season, with us facing the big boys already! Gutted about Liverpool loss as they scored with last kick of the game 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted June 26 Moderators Posted June 26 Interesting to see how this plays out, are you using Excel spreadsheets to help with the moneyball element? Quote

Expand No, I use fmdatalab and look at charts look at stats to sign players. I would recommend it tbh. I did find using excel spreadsheet doesn't really help. Really enjoying it immensely and currently in January and will update tomorrow. Quote
Moderators Johno Posted July 1 Author Moderators Posted July 1 Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. What a season so far! Not surprised to see Nascimento, still banging goals in and happy to see Domina, still chipping in even he's a back up to the main man. Also special mention to Aranda, who is ripping up down the left hand side Sadly former Wolves player, Neto, knocked us out in 87th minutes in Carabao Cup Semi Final Also very close in the table, surprisedly Ipswich Town was right up there before slipping down! Transfers wise, not bought anyone in as happy with the squad but may look at signing more players to boost depth since few players complaining about lack of it. 1 Quote
Moderators Johno Posted July 2 Author Moderators Posted July 2 Loving the look of this Was in the 1.5M barrier before selling players on big wages. Quote
Moderators Johno Posted July 3 Author Moderators Posted July 3 WOOWWWW! Thanks to Liverpool beating Spurs gifting us the title Will do update shortly. Quote
Moderators Johno Posted July 3 Author Moderators Posted July 3 What a season from both of them! 1 Quote
Moderators Johno Posted July 16 Author Moderators Posted July 16 Made major improvement in the summer on new players, got rid of few players including Joao Gomes who went to Bournemouth for 25M. Felt we was lacking at right back, saw Pitbull stats for the season and was immensely decent, snapped up instantly! Assadi was bought in for depth at left winger after departure of Tanguy Coulibaly (signed on free, sold for 30M) Big major signing for us is Curtis Jones on free transfer from Liverpool, couldn't pass this signing, fitting in perfectly Loving this! Season so far, we seem to be creating a pattern of win and then draw Just knocked Chelsea out of EFL Cup too Quote
Moderators Johno Posted July 16 Author Moderators Posted July 16 Sadly lost my assistant manager to Man City Also my set pieces coach to Spurs Spurs and Chelsea tends to nick my backroom staff too. Quote
