parsdaft1983 Posted January 4, 2022 Author Posted January 4, 2022 Happy new year guys! So, like everyone no doubt, been bust with the festivities. Not had a great deal of time to play FM but managed to sneak a wee bit time in. I'm now back at sea, and the ship is rolling like hell so making this fun..... Not! Right, so got Killie promoted as you Know, this is how the 1st half the season panned out: So, we played some amazing football it has to be said, sitting top of the league, even clear by some points, before both my no1 and no2 GK got injured. Needless to say, things started going downhill. My no2 was pretty crap anyway but had to use him after Bain got a very bad injury. The Dundee Utd and Rangers games wee dire. Hopefully tho I can pick things up. A fe players been performing badly, and I really need to Strengthen my squad, however: No room to play there so creative thinking needed lol. Stayed tuned. 1
Administrators Derek Posted January 5, 2022 Administrators Posted January 5, 2022 Welcome back mate and Happy New Year! When I saw the goalscoring charts I thought you had signed Calvert-Lewin for a minute You are flying though and seem to be pushing for the title despite the injuries to your keepers. I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with the rest of the season.
parsdaft1983 Posted January 9, 2022 Author Posted January 9, 2022 Well, its the end of the 26/27 season, and here we are: Needless to say, there was a massive drop in form 2nd half of the season. I tried a few different formations, but just couldnt keep the goals out. A change in defence is needed as well a few new GK's. The budget constraints kept thigs tight in Jan, until of course I found I had a sellable clause for £3m, so Got funds eventually. Managed to keep Calvert on Loan thank god. But the rebuild starts now lol 1
Administrators Derek Posted January 9, 2022 Administrators Posted January 9, 2022 Unlucky mate but I think if you were offered 4th at the start of the season you might have taken it after only coming up. I suppose the second part of the season was always going to be tougher, particularly when it splits into two groups. Calvert was unbelievable so I'm glad you've been able to extend the loan.
parsdaft1983 Posted January 9, 2022 Author Posted January 9, 2022 I would of bitten their hand off to be fair lol. But no, 4th is a good finish for a newly promoted team. Going to try a new formation, on a cautious mentality and see how things go. Just need to rebuild the squad after releasing half the team lol.
parsdaft1983 Posted January 20, 2022 Author Posted January 20, 2022 Still working on this save, mid-season update coming soon. Not forgotten lol 1
parsdaft1983 Posted January 21, 2022 Author Posted January 21, 2022 27/28 Mid season update as Promised! So this happened... So yea, won a trophy at Killie! Onwards and upwards now! So these are the fixtures so far this season. I am currently fighting on 4 fronts, League, won League cup, Scottish cup and the Uefa conference league. Some really big results there, especially against the Old Firm, which is always good lol. So here is the table and squad at half way point (Note Celtics position ): Honestly delighted with the lads so far. Chopping and changing between a 433 wide and 433 narrow. I do need to bring in some defensive cover as for the Hamilton game, I lost players to fatigue and injury and had wingers playing in RB and LB roles. These are my summer transfers and finance. Got a bit of cash to spend so hopefully can get the said defensive reinforcements in and can push Rangers all the way and maybe bag the Scottish Premiership!! 1
parsdaft1983 Posted January 26, 2022 Author Posted January 26, 2022 Season 27/28 was a massive success for Kilmarnock. After securing the Scottish Premiership with 2 games to spare, We only went on and secured an unprecedented treble by securing the Europa conference league. Some awards and the table: So, looking forward? I dont know. The Newcastle job has come up and my head has been turned. However, I have no idea if my reputation is good enough for them or not. I will go on to build on my success regardless. 1
parsdaft1983 Posted February 4, 2022 Author Posted February 4, 2022 Sorry guys, been mega busy recently. 28/29 mid season update. So far the season is going very well as you can see. I am amazed how well we are performing in the UCL. My only concern is, we lost out striker Michele Santucci due to his release clause. But regardless, maybe getting a replacement for £5.5m so fingers crossed. So, here is to a successful conclusion to the season, and hope to god my form does not drop off haha. Oh, I also had big wins against the old firm, will show my fixtures later on. 1
parsdaft1983 Posted February 8, 2022 Author Posted February 8, 2022 Finished my 28/29 season. finished the season as champions again, won the league with plenty games in hand. It was just a shame i got knocked out both cups by Rangers early on. My team also did brilliant in the CL so I am delighted with how the season went. So Scotland's profile has been raised, lets see how well I can do in the 29/30 season. 1
Administrators Derek Posted February 8, 2022 Administrators Posted February 8, 2022 Well done mate another great season! You've really dominated the league this season
parsdaft1983 Posted February 8, 2022 Author Posted February 8, 2022 Posted by: @Derek Well done mate another great season! You've really dominated the league this season Thanks mate. Just signed a new contract, also got £15m to spend so some reinforcements due in. 1
parsdaft1983 Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Not finished the season yet, but here is a snapshot! Some records were broken too 1
Administrators Derek Posted February 17, 2022 Administrators Posted February 17, 2022 Three in a row! Great job mate. That's domestic domination sorted now so you must have an eye on Europe now surely?
parsdaft1983 Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Yea mate. I'm hoping to shore up the defence for European games. I got knocked out from that North London team in red and white in the CL 1st knockout round. Both games were close, but was overpowered eventually. 1
Administrators Derek Posted February 17, 2022 Administrators Posted February 17, 2022 Can't even type their name! Are you attracting any big players into the league at this stage? 1
parsdaft1983 Posted February 18, 2022 Author Posted February 18, 2022 Big enough mate. My main striker who I signed in the summer (stats to follow) has broken records since signing, and now all the "big" teams in England and Europe are after him. I have been on courses last few days, today I'm going firefighting so no had much time to continue. Honestly, the stats on my ST is amazing!
parsdaft1983 Posted February 20, 2022 Author Posted February 20, 2022 Season 29/30 Review: What a season, my best as manager never mind manager of Killie. Did some smart business in the transfers as you see. My best bit of business was Elder: Altho, was a team effort as so: Some broken records too. 1
Administrators Derek Posted February 20, 2022 Administrators Posted February 20, 2022 Great season mate! 100 points was a brilliant total to get and Elder looks a good player.
parsdaft1983 Posted March 2, 2022 Author Posted March 2, 2022 At the half way point of the 30/31 season, and my Killie pie adventure has turned into A St Mary's adventure....
Administrators Derek Posted March 3, 2022 Administrators Posted March 3, 2022 Brilliant! Hows the team looking? Any current Saints players still knocking about?
parsdaft1983 Posted March 3, 2022 Author Posted March 3, 2022 Team in a poor state tbh mate. No current player but a lot of old players. Team sitting 18th, 3 points behind Burnley, but a -20 GD. First 3 game, lost to BHA 2-0, lost to Man Utd 4-1 and Drew Skintsea, sorry Chelsea 0-0. Big job on my hands.
