NassFas Posted April 12, 2023 Author Posted April 12, 2023 @DerekThanks. I am unsure why it comes with those errors because the file I downloaded was from sortitoutsi and was meant for FM23. I will start testing the file right now.
NassFas Posted April 12, 2023 Author Posted April 12, 2023 (edited) Hey there, I noticed that there seems to be a problem with the .fmf file. Could you please take a look at the details below? Just wanted to clarify that the only Icelandic .fmf file I am using is the one you gave me. Edited April 12, 2023 by NassFas
Administrators Derek Posted April 12, 2023 Administrators Posted April 12, 2023 I’m not home now until tomorrow mate but that’s strange as I’ve loaded a game and it’s working fine. 1
Administrators Derek Posted April 13, 2023 Administrators Posted April 13, 2023 @NassFas I've checked the editor again and started a new game with everything working fine. As you can see from the editor image all divisions have been verified which is not possible if there are too few or too many teams in a division. Don't mind the graphics it's just the same ID as a RB team. Make sure when you run the game setup that you click database and ensure there is nothing else selected which may cause a conflict. 1
NassFas Posted April 13, 2023 Author Posted April 13, 2023 @DerekI will try again when I get my computer. Thanks 1
NassFas Posted April 13, 2023 Author Posted April 13, 2023 @Derek Unfortunately, I'm still struggling with the same problem. Would it be possible to make the editor file work with the 23.0.0 database? I sometimes encounter issues with the newer ones for some reason. Despite everything, I appreciate all of your assistance.
NassFas Posted April 19, 2023 Author Posted April 19, 2023 (edited) @Derek Here is some information about the club that I have generated, and I would like to share. Lyngvi, a football enthusiast from Akranes, founded Knattspyrnufélag Lyndis Akraness (K.L.A.) in 1967. The team was named after Lyngvi's daughter, Lyndis, and represented his passion and dedication to the sport. Despite facing challenges such as lack of funding and facilities, Lyngvi worked hard to recruit players from the local community, assembling a team of dedicated footballers who shared his love for the game. K.L.A. trained hard and played their first match against a local rival team, determined to prove their worth. However, K.L.A. struggled to gain traction and attention in the highly competitive world of Icelandic football. They remained relatively unknown and obscure, with few supporters and limited resources. But Lyngvi refused to give up and continued to encourage and inspire his team to strive for success. Over time, K.L.A. began to improve, winning more matches and earning a small but dedicated fan base. While they never achieved the same level of success as some of the bigger teams in Iceland, Knattspyrnufélag Lyndis Akraness remained a beloved and respected institution in Akranes. Lyngvi's legacy as the founder of K.L.A. lives on, and the team continues to play and represent the spirit and determination of their founder. Despite their obscurity, Knattspyrnufélag Lyndis Akraness serves as an inspiration for football fans who believe that passion and hard work can overcome even the greatest of challenges. Here is a backstory about the home ground. In 1960, the town of Akranes, located in western Iceland, built a football field on the side of a hill overlooking the town. This field was named Lyndisfjallsvöllur, after the daughter of a local football enthusiast named Lyngvi. The field quickly became a focal point of the town's football community, with local teams and players gathering to play matches and train. Seven years later, in 1967, Lyngvi founded a football team he named Knattspyrnufélag Lyndis Akraness (K.L.A.). As the team grew in popularity and success, Lyndisfjallsvöllur became the official home field of Lyndis Akraness. Despite its modest size and capacity of only 1,000 spectators, Lyndisfjallsvöllur quickly became known for its stunning views of the surrounding area and its intimate atmosphere. The local community rallied around the team and the field, with fans coming out in droves to support their beloved Lyndis Akraness. Over the years, Lyndisfjallsvöllur underwent numerous upgrades and renovations, including the addition of floodlights and a small seating area. Despite these improvements, however, the field remained a humble and cherished symbol of Akranes' football community. In the late 1980s, Lyndis Akraness decided to invest in a new training ground, which they named Lyndis Akraness æfingavöllur. The new training ground was built just a short distance from Lyndisfjallsvöllur and had a capacity of 100 spectators. The construction of Lyndis Akraness æfingavöllur was a significant milestone for the team, as it demonstrated their commitment to developing young talent and improving their performance on the pitch. The new training ground quickly became an essential part of the team's operations, providing a dedicated space for players to practice and develop their skills. Today, both Lyndisfjallsvöllur and Lyndis Akraness æfingavöllur continue to serve as vital hubs of Akranes' football community. While they may not be the most glamorous or high-tech facilities in Iceland, they are beloved by locals and serve as a reminder of the enduring power of passion, hard work, and community spirit in football. Here is some more information about the club for potentially a new editor file Club Legends will be Lyngvi Ásgeirsson (1929-1993, founder), and Lyndis Lyngvadóttir (1958-2021, former chairperson) Team was established in 1967, stadium was built 1960, training ground was built 1988. They currently have one trophy, the 1977 Mjólkurbikarinn, (in place of Valur, who won that year) Knattspyrnufélag ÍA, fierce rivals (local) Lyndis are in other rivals for ÍA, also marked as locals Edited April 19, 2023 by NassFas 1
Administrators Derek Posted April 20, 2023 Administrators Posted April 20, 2023 I updated the file yesterday mate but forgot to add it here. I think you should upload the entire file with graphics to our Custom DB section. I think people would like to try this out for sure. I'm not sure where to add the description you have created in the editor but all other details are created, verified and tested. Knattspyrnufélag Lyndis Akraness.fmf 1

NassFas Posted April 20, 2023 Author Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) @Derek Sadly I still could not get the file to work (I have the same issue as before), I have learned that I have issues with the 23.4 database, so I believe the only way for this file to work is to make it compatible with the original database, of course I do not know almost anything about how the editor works. I do appreciate all your help with this still. Here are some kits in SS style. Edited April 20, 2023 by NassFas
NassFas Posted April 20, 2023 Author Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) I did find an answer online, I will try it soon too. The "require maximum of teams" message in Football Manager 23 (FM23) usually appears when you try to start a game with more teams than the selected database can support. Here are some steps you can take to fix this issue: 1. Check the database size: FM23 supports various database sizes, ranging from small to large. If you see the "require maximum of teams" message, it is possible that you have selected a small database that cannot support the number of teams you want to include. Try selecting a larger database size and see if the issue persists. 2. Reduce the number of teams: If you don't want to change the database size, you can reduce the number of teams in your game. Consider removing some of the less important leagues or teams to bring the total number of teams down to a manageable Another involving the editor: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/52832/fm20-problem-can-anyone-help-me Edited April 20, 2023 by NassFas

Try this as I've recreated it on the original database. I'm not able to run this on my game so I'm not sure if all the details are correct. You should be able to run it though. NassFas Posted April 20, 2023 Author Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) The file works perfect, I am running a test save and there is some information that I would like to add before the final file. Knattspyrnufélag Lyndis Akraness Youth Facilities - Average Nickname - The Lyns Estimated Value - $10K Hashtag - #GegnumÁrOgTíma Three Letter Name - LYN Alternate Three Letter Name - KLA Six Letter Name - Lyndis I also want the players to be at the about same level as the other teams I am gathering graphics currently. It would be nice to have both of the files, one for 23.0, one for 23.4, everything about the team stays identical between both. Edited April 20, 2023 by NassFas

Add "Akranesderbið" in derbies vs IA, add Knattspyrnufélag Kára (another Akranes club in the lower divisions) as fierce rivals (local) and add the derby between them called "Ökumannavinna Akraness". Add the Under-19 training ground and make it the Akraneshöllin (an existing indoor stadium, ID 39033649), which is also the under 19 ground for IA and the home ground for Kara. The team should be semi-professional, like all the other teams in the 3rd-5th divisions. Lastly, change the name in the table (which I think is the main short name) to just "Lyndis" so it fits in better. You see, clubs like to use shorter names as their main names, which is why some files like this exist. Thank you for all of this, that is all the information I have. Edited April 21, 2023 by NassFas

NassFas Posted April 30, 2023 Author Posted April 30, 2023 Here is an update. I started the main save and the only problem I could find was the hashtag having two hashtags (I do not think you were supposed to put a hashtag in the editor) Then, all of a sudden, my game stopped advancing in the calendar for some reason. I don't know if this is the editor file causing this, but I also cleared cache, went on holiday, reloaded the save from another point ad it did not work. I really don't want to restart the game at this point. I will give some screenshots soon.
NassFas Posted May 7, 2023 Author Posted May 7, 2023 I was able to get the problem fixed by waiting a few hours, here are some screenshots of the game. 1
NassFas Posted October 7, 2023 Author Posted October 7, 2023 Can I make a small, simple request to the logo? Can you replace "AKRANESS" with "AKRANESI"?
