Completed my season last Friday but life got in the way so will do quick updates now.

Bologna 1909 season 2

What an season for us, by finishing 2nd in the league and winning Coppa Italia! Pretty pleased with our defence, by only 2 goals away from Inter Milan. who only conceded 30 goals.

Sadly last season players stats, have gone. However, Sesko, finished top scorer for us with 26 goals in 39 games in all competitions.

Transfers

Made few young signings but majorly of them are regens, however will show few of them. Was so inspired by Evidence Based Football Manager 2 part video regarding with personality and wonderkids and ended up signing ridiculous amount of youngsters for next few seasons.

Found Palacios via player search and signed him last season. Was also wanted by Barca, few months ago!

This probably the greatest transfer I have done for Bologna Looked at him after watching Omega Luke's Youth to Gold challenge, which he signed him and turned out to be world class defender. Went to make a offer for him, noticed they wanted Emanuel Vignato, so I thought try free plus him and somehow they was happy to accept it!

Amazing season for you and Bologna @Johno, well done mate. Scalvini is a great signing and is always good to get some strong home grown talents.

It will be interesting to see how you get on in the CL next season.

It's frustrating when my Italian players doesn't get picked no matter how superb their form have been for Bologna, especially Orsolini.

Scalvini, have been decent, but for some reasons my assistant manager keeps playing him in midfielder...

Tactic - Might move away from Tiki-Taka and go for control possession or gegenpress. Formation wise - have no idea!

New season, almost Déjà vu

Not been playing FM last few weeks, so will update the transfers in next post.

Friendlies

Nothing major, went to tour to Singapore. I arranged friendly against Barca and Seattle, to boost income.

Transfers

Not bought in alot of players, they are probably more likely to be back up signing apart from Justin Bijlow.

After selling Łukasz Skorupski, to Newcastle for 10M in the summer. Went through alot of goalkeepers to replace Skorupski, went for Biijow, in the end. Hopefully one of our young keeper will take over him in near future.

Been chasing him for a while, found him through my scout who is scouting Northern Europe. Few times, offer been accepted but director of football somehow messed up contract talks with him and ended up not wanting to hold talk with us until few months ago. Unsure where to play him as he's a natural at left back but gut feeling maybe retrain him as central defender.

Found him via players search after watching youtube video which I posted in couple posts above. Will probably play in academy and maybe send him out on loan.

Came across him after seeing news in Ligue 1, that he was voted as young right back of the season, so took a punt on him.

Was keeping a close eye on UEFA U-19 Championship and was topping the passes charts etc so went for him, hopefully will play him few games this season.

HUGE risk signing, will sell on next season or so. Back up.

Sent him out on loan to Servette for game time.

 

Also Mattias Svanberg's time could be coming to end after I accepted 60M from Man City for him Which he wanted to join Man City ffs.

Kind of turned into Wenger, buying players with decent potential for cheap, in hope I could sell them on for decent money

After finishing runners up on goal difference to Man Utd in our group, yet again drawn against another Spanish club, Real Madrid! Which was Barca, last season ffs.

Seems to be déjà vu all over again, like I beat Barca in first leg, lost 2nd leg. Looks like Im going to lose 2nd leg to Real Madrid!

Currently got around 190M in the bank, was around 120M before the takeover. Pumped money from 16M to 33M.

Definitely but just shows we can compete with top elite clubs with the players we do have and the level between them!

Just hit April, so should finish the season soon.

Just had my youth intakes last month but some of them wasn't signed by HOYD. I decided to hand this guy his debut at age 15, against Pisa. Already been labelled the next Giorgos Karagounis

Was tough season overall but there was few games that was turning point for us, which I will do update in a minute.
