Moderators Markitos Posted July 14, 2022 Moderators Posted July 14, 2022 We have reached the halfway point of the season, lost points in unbelievable games and PSG got away from us a little bit. In the UCL we finished first in the group and we played City in the next round. As for the market, my idea is to send at loan Julien Diaz (2nd goalkeeper) and bring in an experienced goalkeeper for 6 months. Nene wanted to play, he didn't perform as I wanted and is going to Shakhtar for 22.5M. 1 Quote
Moderators Markitos Posted July 14, 2022 Moderators Posted July 14, 2022 The winter market is over IN Stefano Gori, the former Juventus goalkeeper, arrives free to fill the position of 2nd goalkeeper. Petko Mirchev, DFC from Ludogorets for 4.9M Rodrigo Rauhofer, MPC from Nacional for 3.5M Both will remain on loan at their clubs OUT Dorgeles Nene to Shakhtar for 22M Antonio Oliveira loaned to Apoel Julien Diaz loaned to Amiens Arnau Comas sold to Leeds for 5.5M Jean N'Guessan sold to Udinese for 2M Sadio Mane sold to Zenit for 2.1M Paulo loaned to Santos 1 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted July 14, 2022 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2022 You're doing well mate, surprised to see Mane gone already but a nice profit on the transfer fee. Quote

I had offered him only 1 year of contract and he didn't want to renew, when the offers arrived I didn't hesitate. 1 Quote
Moderators Markitos Posted July 20, 2022 Moderators Posted July 20, 2022 I always like to scout players when the 50 wonderkids list comes out in the game, we have managed to sign these 4. The rarest one is the Spanish player, I have no idea why he came out but he comes for free. Giani, from River, for 8.5M Segura from America de Cali for 3M Minetti from Racing for 12.5M Vicent, from Inter San Jose, for free 1 Quote
Moderators Markitos Posted July 20, 2022 Moderators Posted July 20, 2022 We have finished the season, PSG were unstoppable. We won the local cup 1902886446_FMG-Valenciennes.fm 1 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted July 20, 2022 Author Administrators Posted July 20, 2022 PSG were very strong indeed mate! Good work though. I'm up then I think unless someone else fancies it? 1 Quote
Moderators Tempelman Posted July 20, 2022 Moderators Posted July 20, 2022 Good season, but PSG definitely were unstoppable! Go for it Derek! 1 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted July 21, 2022 Author Administrators Posted July 21, 2022 I'll start this over the weekend then guys! I'm playing with the idea that we may need a move... Quote
Moderators Markitos Posted July 22, 2022 Moderators Posted July 22, 2022 Yes, I think it would be a good idea. I have a feeling that this season the key players will be gone and it will be difficult to replace them. Better to start a project somewhere else 1 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted July 22, 2022 Author Administrators Posted July 22, 2022 I'll start tomorrow evening and check out the teams that are available. 1 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted July 24, 2022 Author Administrators Posted July 24, 2022 This is the current jobs which are available. Nothing really inspiring apart from Real Madrid obviously. I've applied but I'm not expecting an offer. Something about Union Berlin though in Bundesliga 2 Quote
Moderators Markitos Posted July 24, 2022 Moderators Posted July 24, 2022 Union Berlin or QPR, not bad Quote
Administrators Derek Posted July 26, 2022 Author Administrators Posted July 26, 2022 So after a few months this happened! A new journey which is a step back for sure but I felt a change was needed to freshen things up. Lets go Sassuolo! 1 Quote
Moderators Tempelman Posted July 27, 2022 Moderators Posted July 27, 2022 Could be a nice challenge!! Quote
Administrators Derek Posted July 28, 2022 Author Administrators Posted July 28, 2022 This is where we start from. Window is closed already so I'll make do with what I have at the club. Quote
Moderators Markitos Posted July 30, 2022 Moderators Posted July 30, 2022 What about the squad? 1 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted July 31, 2022 Author Administrators Posted July 31, 2022 We have made it to January and still sitting in 10th. It's been up and down a bit with our main hope Scamacca starting very well until picking up a bad hip injury which will rule him out for the next three months. I feel I will invest all the money available and attempt to get some loans in. I'll pick this up in the next day or so after the logo updates Squad Finances League Table 2 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted August 4, 2022 Author Administrators Posted August 4, 2022 Bit delayed on this the last few days guys but will pick it back up and complete the season over the weekend. 1 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted August 7, 2022 Author Administrators Posted August 7, 2022 So we've reached the end of the transfer window which I feel has been a relatively successful one but results have been poor despite dominant displays in most games. We've struggled to find the back of the net without Scamacca up front due to his injury. Let's just say Berardi's best days are well and truly in the past Serie A Table Schedule Transfers We brought in Afena-Gyan from Spezia to replace Scamacca until his return from injury and have yet to play him due to AFCON but he's back for our away day at Napoli. We've also signed his Ghana strike partner Agyei on loan from Tottenham as backup, yes Berardi really is that bad. Oliveira joined from Nice which is exciting as he's a player with great potential. However, due to huge interest we did have to go a bit high in wages which isn't ideal but lets hope its worth it. We also got Arenal's exciting Serbian talent Bubanja on loan who has had a positive impact so far with two goals and an assist. Some backup loan signings in Wentzel and Maldera will simply provide some cover in case of more injuries. In terms of outgoings, the main two were Cuisance and Lopez who were both backup centre mids. We did get decent money for 31 year old Lopez with Dinamo paying €12.5m. Current Squad Quote
Administrators Derek Posted August 7, 2022 Author Administrators Posted August 7, 2022 So I made some changes with Afena-Gyan up front, Grosic coming into midfield, Traore back from AFCON, Wentzel in at LB and Agirrezabala in nets. Oliveira is earning his wages this month and Afena-Gyan has started his Sassuolo career as I'd hoped. Having Traore as an attacking CM and Grosic breaking up play is helping our attackers immensely. Great February for us apart from defeat at Inter which we were winning until conceding a penalty. Quote
Administrators Derek Posted August 7, 2022 Author Administrators Posted August 7, 2022 So we've reached the last three games now and we are on the verge of qualifying for Europe. Napoli stand in our way with one game in hand but we've got the better goal difference. Both games between the two teams finished level. Lecce (A), Milan (H) and Spezia (H) to go for us. Roma (H), Inter (A), Benevento (A) and Fiorentina (A) for Napoli. Quote
Administrators Derek Posted August 7, 2022 Author Administrators Posted August 7, 2022 So we did it and qualified for the Europa Conference League. We won two of our final league games and it was enough to finish 7th. I wish we could have got the job sooner than October as I think we would have been challenging for Champions League spots. As you can see we did well since getting some signings in late January and only really lost to the top four sides apart from a frustrating day against Cremonese. Who's up next guys? @Markitos@Tempelman @Johno @tatuzzo76 @VyKing Quote
Moderators Tempelman Posted August 8, 2022 Moderators Posted August 8, 2022 Thinking about it... Let me see if I can find time for it... Though I'd be happy if someone else takes it before me 1 Quote
Moderators Markitos Posted August 12, 2022 Moderators Posted August 12, 2022 I just came back from vacation, if nobody started I will start the season. 1 Quote
