Moderators VyKing Posted February 22 Author Moderators Posted February 22 Aug/Sept '23 A very good start to the campaign with 3 wins 2 draws and a loss putting us into 4th in the league after 6 games. Injuries have meant bringing up a 15yr old right back and a 16 year old left winger The U21's is full with 15/16 year olds with a few to keep my eyes on during my time here. After being turned down for a coaching course out of fear of bigger clubs offering me a job, I'm going to see where we are by mid season and see where that takes me. League Table 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 22 Author Moderators Posted February 22 October '23 A very busy month of October on and off the pitch with a couple of big wins, a draw that saw 6 goals and a 3-0 loss against 2nd place, leaving us 3rd place going into a very short November in terms of only 2 gams. A take over from Russian director Gleb Nikitin has changed the whole dynamic moving forward with the offer of a 2 year contract extension and a coaching course for my National C licence. The takeover hasn't presented any extra funds so we are currently working with £0 transfer fee and -£759 wage budget which makes working with the youngsters a must. 4 games left of the first half of the season with us currently punching above expectation, maybe a summer move is on the cards to increase my chances of winning my first continental title. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 22 Author Moderators Posted February 22 November '23 A quick November, which saw a clean sheet and a 4-1 loss which has left us in 6th place. A few results and we are back up there. A few tough games coming up in December with a cup game vs Maritzburg United to qualify for the first round proper. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 22 Author Moderators Posted February 22 December '23 The end of December means 2 things, mid season point and the transfer window opening. 2 wins from 3 in the league keeps us within touching distance of the play offs. 7th in the league at the midway stage is more than I could ask for with the injuries and lack of resources 32 points is the magic number for avoiding relegation and this is within reach. Mid Season Player reports My 2 top goal scorers with 8 in the league apiece. Stanley Muishond Jacky Motshegwa Highest average rating so far this season goes to my left back Xolani Mdaki 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 22 Author Moderators Posted February 22 January '24 A very quiet January in the league with no games being played at all apart from friendlies to keep the players fresh. The only thing happening this month was bringing in players despite being in the red in the wage budget. Transfers in Bringing essential players to plug gaps from injury or lack of depth. Transfers out Only 1 out the door, no clue why Diamond City are rocking the Real Madrid badge. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 23 Author Moderators Posted February 23 February '24 Back to it after a January of friendlies with back to back wins shooting us straight back into play off contention. Baroka next up in the league is a chance to bring the 6 point gap to 3 points. 12 games left so it is the business end of the season with us smashing the 32 points barrier to stay up. 2 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 23 Author Moderators Posted February 23 March '24 A fantastic run during March keeps us in the play offs with the exception of Baroka. 7 games to go and in a strong position, but as we've seen in previous month we can become our own worse enemy. The upcoming month, with a game against 3rd place upcoming which could give us advantage going on to the end of the season. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 23 Author Moderators Posted February 23 April '24 Down to the final 3 games with it all to play for and in shooting distance of automatics. Baroka slipping up has the fans dreaming. During April the Orlando Pirates job came up, which I did apply for and got interviewed for but was unsuccessful. Fully qualified for the National C license which is a step in the right direction. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 23 Author Moderators Posted February 23 May '24 The last 3 games ensured our spot in the Premier Division mini play off league consisting or ourselves, Marumo Gallants and Swallows of the Premier Division. With 1st place promoted. It has been a very impressive season this season with injuries and playing 15/16yr olds in positions due to lack of depth for the first half of the season. It now comes down to 4 games 2 vs each team home and away before I give a full season review and to see whether I go to the division above with the Lions or onto pastures new. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 23 Author Moderators Posted February 23 End of the season 23/24 The 2 impressive wins over Swallows set us up on GD to take us up after 2 intense 1-1 draws. Predicted for a 2nd from bottom finish to go up via the play offs. The Hungry Lions gritted their teeth and grinded out some fantastic results. Breaking records for goals scored in the league and only losing 5 on the way to promotion. This team has impressed me and have pushed on. But my goal is to win the African Champions League which with the resources this team has I don't think will be possible. Currently the only job available in the Premier Division is with Cape Town City who finished 6th in the top league. I have applied for the job but we shall see where we go from here. 1 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 24 Author Moderators Posted February 24 Premier Division 24/25 July '25 I was unsuccessful with my application to Cape Town City despite having an interview, due to this we need to strengthen as much as possible to give ourselves a fighting chance at survival. Anything above 13th will be a fantastic season with £1mill TV money being a great reason to stay up. I have the option to try get another badge under my belt which may get one of the top sides looking at me more seriously. Transfers In Transfers Out Schedule We are thrown straight out of the frying pan and into the fryer with the start of the season but it's also an opportunity to see where the team is at in regards to quality. A solid start would go a long way in reaching the magic number of 32. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 24 Author Moderators Posted February 24 August '24 A strong start to the season, a fantastic win against Orlando Pirates followed by a drubbing by last seasons champions. 4 games down 26 to go but this is a marathon not a sprint. 1 Quote

Thank you pal, the save is tough financially which is why to progress towards the champions league I need to move to a bigger club despite the new chairman building a new stadium Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 26 Author Moderators Posted February 26 September '24 A sticky 2 games in September with South African power houses Kaizer Chiefs giving us a good tonking to welcome us to the league. October is a fun month with 7 games 1 of those against last seasons champions Sundowns, then back to back games against Cape Town Spurs formally CT Ajax. Finances are slightly improving but we are still currently in the red. The new chairman is looking for somewhere to build a new stadium while we've moved across to Marks Park in Johannesburg. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 27 Author Moderators Posted February 27 October '24 Coming to the mid season period sitting 7th 15 points off 32 points. October was a very mixed bag of results with a great performance against Sundowns and in the cup against Spurs. Still been unable to go for the next coaching badge but that may change. The only jobs coming up as insecure in the prem is with Richards Bay and Golden Arrows who currently sit at the bottom of the table I just have to hope the teams good season doesn't go unnoticed. 1 Quote
Moderators Johno Posted February 27 Moderators Posted February 27 Decent half way! Hopefully you can get few wins 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted February 28 Author Moderators Posted February 28 November '24 Despite the poor run through November we still managed to climb a place in the league. With hitting the midway point sitting 9 points clear of 15th. Finances in the first half of the season has been on the up drastically. At the mid stage point we have 1 standout performer for us Unfortunately he's just picked up an injury keeping him out for 2 months. 1 Quote
Administrators Derek Posted March 1 Administrators Posted March 1 This is fantastic mate! All these years playing FM and I still haven't managed in all continents. Best of luck with the challenge. Looking forward to see how you get on with this. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 2 Author Moderators Posted March 2 December '24 After picking up 1 point in December, we currently sit 8th 5 points off 15th. Thinking the only way I may be able to get my first continental title is trying a different continent I applied for the Cerezo Osaka position after their relegation from the JLeague. This was unsuccessful but AmaZulu FC offered me a job interview, which I took before realising their position. They're currently playing in the Orange CAF confederations cup (next one down from the Champions League) which was also unsuccessful. On the other hand I am currently going through the National B licence with Hungry Lions. The journey with the Lions continues. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 2 Author Moderators Posted March 2 January/February '25 A very quiet January with no in's or outs led us into Feb with the same team we started with. Which takes me to Feb, 2-2 Draw with Kaizer Chiefs set the month off despite losing to Cape Town Spurs and TS Galaxy wins against Royal and Baroka have left us in a solid position with 5 games remaining. Due to injuries I had to dip into the youth ranks which seems to have found myself a gem in Qaba Postmaburgs Phil foden scoring 2 in 2 alternating him using the Wenger Method of play every other week Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 2 Author Moderators Posted March 2 March '25 3 loses in March left us in a very precarious position but a win over SuperSport means we are safe. Finally in the black with the finances means we go into next season stronger and a new contract signed. 2 games left to play before we plan for the new season. Quote
