Moderators VyKing Posted March 27 Author Moderators Posted March 27 Season Preview Favourites to bounce straight back up and with a 30million transfer budget we should be able to bring some prospects in to build this club back up. First 2 signings of the season I'm dipping into South Africa and Hungry Lions. Quote

Expand The chance of winning the AFC in Australia based on the talent and vs Saudi Arabia is much lower than it is in Japan. On top of that I can't sit and watch Antlers be a yoyo club with the history they have. always had a soft spot for them since pro evo days. And the finances Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 27 Author Moderators Posted March 27 Pre Season Update Transfers Alot of out going to steady the ship and get rid of the players that don't want to play in the second division with the 2 incoming as above and then 2 young Brazilians to keep with the Brazilian culture at the club thanks to players like Zico. First we have Rodrigo - A young CAM to sit behind the striker and alot of promise going for the future. Then we have Masaffera - A make shift winger with the ability to play behind the striker if needed. Pre-Season Results Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 28 Author Moderators Posted March 28 February '28 A mixed start to the season with 2 wins and a loss. Which is expected this early due to the team still gelling together. We are still getting offers for our youth prospects and starters from teams in the league above us. I'm trying to make sure this team is not a selling club unless it's money we cannot reject. Despite 2 wins and a loss in the first 3 we are still in a strong position early on with a few strong J1 potential teams around us. Feb is a short month as we go into March with a cup game. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 29 Author Moderators Posted March 29 March '28 A busy March gave us our second defeat in the league and a first leg defeat in the 2nd round of the J-League cup vs Ursawa who are a league above us. But it was also a very productive month in that we won 6 out of 7 games in the league putting us in a strong position. Oita Trinita winning 9 in 9 which noone saw coming means we can't afford to take our foot off the gas in April. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 29 Author Moderators Posted March 29 April '28 After 2 humiliating defeats at the start of April a couple of subtle changes needed to be made, first being dropping the number 1 and placing the back up in goal, this seems to have had an impact. the 2nd moving Masaffera from RW to ST. A move that seems to have had a positive impact on himself and Rodrigo sitting behind him. The 7 point gap at the top is going to be a mini mountain to climb if we want the league title. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 30 Author Moderators Posted March 30 May '28 May started with a loss to top of the table in the only loss of the month. Oita having a mini fall off during this run has now brought the gap to 3 points. the emperors cup kicks off in June with another game against Oita. We have a few players leaving from the old guard once the transfer window opens with my scouts out looking for players in those positions I am needing mainly Left Back. We are also going to be looking for inside forwards on either side. The second half of the season is hopefully going to be more of the same. Pedal to the metal football. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 30 Author Moderators Posted March 30 June '28 Unbeaten through June with a win in the Emperors cup over Oita after they had a man sent off. We are now 1 point behind Oita in the league with some fine results through the month. Sticking with Youth coming into the team we have 4 players coming in, in the summer transfer window. Still in need of a Left back and a Right back. Last of the unhappy lot from relegation leaving in the same window. Bringing in much needed funds. So far it's a two horse race for automatics with the rest nicely coming together in the play offs. 13 games to go. Quote
Moderators Johno Posted March 31 Moderators Posted March 31 Wow what a battle! Hopefully you can get the top spot! Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 31 Author Moderators Posted March 31 July '28 On a unprecedented run in the league, the only defeat in July being in the Emperors cup. The main issue being Oita not dropping the points. It's looking likely the league comes down to the game between us in September. Due to an injury to Massafera I needed to count on Tanaka to step up and step up he did with 4 goals in 6 league games. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted March 31 Author Moderators Posted March 31 August '28 1 draw in August extended the gap to 3 points which means it still comes down to the game against Oita in October. September see's zero games so a chance to rest and get some friendlies to keep match fitness. We have beaten the goals scored record in the J2 league which was 103 goals with 109 goals with 4 games to go. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 1 Author Moderators Posted April 1 October '28 17 goals in 3 games and a win over Oita, and Oita slipping up has put us 3 games in front with 1 game to go and a +22 GD over Oita. In theory we're already champions we've also established the boys prefer Toyota to Honda. It's been a fantastic battle for the top to take it with 1 game to go feels poetic. Whisper it quietly but we are back in the big time. Quote

Moderators VyKing Posted April 1 Author Moderators Posted April 1 November '28 End of Season summary J2 Champions after a hard fought battle for top of the table we took it to the final day with a 6-0 win to see the season out. Smashing in 132 goals on the way to the title. Smashing the stats the data shows how the season went With us needing to strengthen at the back Igor Massafera ended the season with 25 league goals. With Rodrigo scoring 19 and assisting 13 2 great signings with the Brazilians making the positions their own through out Massafera becoming the number 1 striker in the team. The aim going into the next season is as follows A) Strengthen at the back and have strength in depth B) Consolidate our league position and ensure we stay up C) Strengthen ourselves financially D) Carry on concentrating on youth 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 2 Author Moderators Posted April 2 2029 Season Preview The bookies have us finishing 11th, Vissel Kobe came knocking for my services in the summer and got nowhere. 4 Players through the door with Plamen Andreev for 95k From Feyenoord who goes straight between the sticks. Brazilian centre back Kayky Almeida from Watford to strengthen the backline for 1.3mill Eiji Shimizu a young striker for 2.5mill from V-Varen Nagasaki Finally Genta Ikeda to slot into that Segundo volante role from Gamba Asaka for 4.2 mill Schedule Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 2 Author Moderators Posted April 2 Feb '29 2 wins and a loss in our first 3 games back in the J1 League while our boys get used to the step up in standards isn't a bad return. Especially keeping a clean sheet at Kawasaki Frontale. Sitting pretty in 5th after 3 games is a good start and gives us something to build on for the rest of the season. Shohei Hino comes in as cover at right back for 2.7 million from Shonan Bellmare. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 3 Author Moderators Posted April 3 March '29 March went from strength to strength with strong performances against Reysol and Urawa. Tokyo Verdy being a tough opponent. April see's us go to Yokohama for 2 games. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 4 Author Moderators Posted April 4 April '29 Abit of an indifferent and slow April in the league with a few draws and losses and just 1 win. The schedule is very packed with 2 games a week being often the case, Similar through May which will push players fitness (starting to sound like Klopp.) Despite the tough month we still sit in the top 5 with the table starting to take shape. 1 Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 5 Author Moderators Posted April 5 May '29 A productive May 5 wins 2 losses and a draw keeping us in the Champions League spots. Injuries looked to derail us but we keep going strong. A strong performance against Kashiwa Reysol in the round of 16 of the Jleague Cup 1st leg keeps silver ware on the table with the Emperors cup kicking off in June against Jubilo Iwata. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 5 Author Moderators Posted April 5 Due to finances the transfer budget and wage budget got slashed which puts me -50k on the wage budget, The club isn't losing money like it was in the J2 League and due to many years of yo-yoing it has taken it's toll. That being said their vision to play defensively solid and direct football is not what has us in 3rd in the league halfway through the season. Ticking off boxes for getting into the quarter finals of the Jleague cup and on course for the target of a mid table finishing, maybe surpassing that target. Hopefully I get a new contract but I may need to have a chat about the boards vision. Or I may let my contract run and try get a team that's already in the AFC Champions League. Interesting times ahead indeed. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 6 Author Moderators Posted April 6 June/July '29 2 very short months hence a double update. Wins in the league and progress in both cups keeps the fans happy and the board happy. coming into the business end of the season now we are in a strong position but with finances it looks like either stick or twist when it comes to sales of players. Quote
Moderators VyKing Posted April 6 Author Moderators Posted April 6 August '29 The players weren't happy going out of the Emperor's cup, but then had they put the ball in the back f the net we'd have not lost. We are still sitting pretty in the league though despite the 1 loss after a win against our closest rivals Urawa. Massafera has come to life and starting bagging the goals we need to keep where we are. Quote
