Vitor Roque, looks to be progressing nicely! 😍 any interest from other club for Vitor? Decent understudy in Seimen!

No interest shown in him yet. I think mid season this year we will see big teams coming in

NeT sPeNd

Another summer transfer window comes and goes. Another positive Net Spend.

image.thumb.png.bea0de31a434acdc1ad03f43006fe642.png

We spoke about Wijndal and Grillitsch leaving so lets see who came in.

First off and I find this to be a coup especially as he only wanted to be a fringe player

Moise Kean 7.75mill

image.thumb.png.07579270ef7fe5d61f66cf03282b9261.png

Vitor got hit with an injury so needed the back up and Kean has not disappointed. Scoring in the Schaal winning it and then 2 in his first game.

Luka Romero 14.5mill from Lazio

image.thumb.png.8f5d6aaa5f6458e4fed749046840f948.png

Glouhk got himself injured in the Schaal and is out for a lengthy time so only made sense to bring in someone. Chelsea tried and failed.

Archie Gray 35.5mill from Leeds

image.thumb.png.c0a5115283cc30cdf21dccac14119ba6.png

Highy rated CM with the inevitable english tax added on. Another CM you ask? Well Klaasen was Brighton bound and we replace old with young on my watch.... But Klaasen didn't leave he didn't like the smell of Brightons Fish and Chips apparently.

Antonio Silva 41mill Benfica

image.thumb.png.6a60c29d75104e1339ce13a51269dc4b.png

Another player to replace an out going defender. Duverne out of the door this time to Benfica for 24 mill so a nice bit of business here. Young high potential also high profit potential.

We won our 3rd Schaal in a row with a 2-1 win over Feyenoord

image.thumb.png.16250319932fb3778485924a5753df8b.png

So far in the league we are 2nd with 7 points after winning 2 and drawing vs PSV

image.thumb.png.2f900b1dba87f9ae709faf0400217802.png

And we have had our first CL draw under the new layout

Keeping the good times rolling in the CL

image.thumb.png.04ccb7a11b75dd9b880e38ca1b370623.png

Misehouy has now scored against Liverpool and Lyon and is an academy graduate, this is big for the young lad.

Conceicao is very much a squad depth player so coming on in the 55th minute for an underperforming Schjeldrup and storing a 19 minute hat-trick shows the commitment I have from the squad.

It's only 2 games but they where big games. Next a trip to Germany for the legendary Wolfsburg.

The Germans Crumble.

Our first game on the road in the CL and just a short trip across the border (458KM) and our first test out of the Johan Cruyff arena.

image.thumb.png.4a1b2bfcab341441534e9d7c7c87d655.png

Our Korean wing wizard Woo-yeong certainly wooed the away section but it was Davy Klaasens screamer that takes all the plaudits.

3 out of 3 9 points from 9 Celtic at Celtic park up next.

Also honorary mention to the game after the above at home to Vitesse....

@Tempelman Luka Sucic hates you guys

Back down to Earth with a thud.

A trip to Rome was all abit too much for the Ajax boys

image.thumb.png.6b01bae2eada256ea2b1ad436da226df.png

Out played all over the pitch and a bad day for all. Still 4 wins out of 5 with another away trip to Athletico Madrid. Hopefully with a better result

Unlucky but love this line "We can't be disappointed with the result" You lost 5-0 mate.

Can't be disappointed with the result can be disappointed with the players on the pitch.

Another beating on the road.

Poor finishing cost us dearly in this one. Sitting back in the first half cost us the first goal. Going all out attack towards the end opened us up for Carrasco to put the game to bed. 2 home games to go 4 points out of them would be enough I'd imagine

January Update at the end of Feb

A later update than usual. We qualified for the last 16 with 2 nice home wins in the CL

image.thumb.png.64f91eb9271013c5a7ca33a7890e9acd.png

We tore through Galatasaray with some clinical finishing.

Up next was Shakhtar

image.thumb.png.bf50e5219ffab2867aaac16b75843dd6.png

This was the Scalvini show, winning headers at the back and scoring headers up top from corners.

Schjeldrup with a hat trick of assists to add to his goal.

finishing 5th in the CL league stage

image.thumb.png.d8ff316164ab3cb5ef13b98c025788de.png

Some big names missed out on the last 16

The only major signing of the January window as we needed a LB

image.thumb.png.c5d3e888960ebd6da8619f8aa4e0e451.png

25mill which I'd say is a coup.

The league is shaping up @Tempelmanclose your eyes

image.thumb.png.c8935e09a4fe7737b0b396f5e26dee1a.png

10 games to go but seem to be losing more games every season.

Revenge is Sweet

So after the 5-0 drubbing in the league phase we was determined to not give Roma an easy life over the 2 legs.

First up a trip to Rome in which became the Glouhk show

image.thumb.png.38522d25bf32b95cbc0d28bcd408a677.png

A fantastic result made the 2nd leg a lot more comfortable.

image.thumb.png.684cdf520d1682bec70bc9c6a12cf13d.png

Vos' goal being the only shot on target that game and onto the Quarter Finals

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

This one is a shout out to @Johno

0-0 at the Stadium Kane built was a tense affair.

image.thumb.png.bc31b65881c42896846307659c0246de.png

Setting up a tight game back in Amsterdam.

image.thumb.png.860ee6df92a00617d42e5708161f99e2.png

But Glouhk came through with the goods once again. Liverpool stand between me and a Champions League Final.

We managed to retain the KNVB Beker with a lovely 2-0 win over Excelsior.

Just the League and the CL to concentrate on now

The fairytale ends

A trip to Anfield saw us come unstuck

image.thumb.png.400214d15e861781ca64ae1d53255810.png

Salah was rampant and made us look bad.

image.thumb.png.147d453054c29962225c616c395ce71d.png

A very close and entertaining game ensued at the Johan Cruijff ArenA saw the boys take Liverpool to Extra time, we just didn't have anything in the tank to finish it off and we paid for that.
