  1. March '28 A busy March gave us our second defeat in the league and a first leg defeat in the 2nd round of the J-League cup vs Ursawa who are a league above us. But it was also a very productive month in that we won 6 out of 7 games in the league putting us in a strong position. Oita Trinita winning 9 in 9 which noone saw coming means we can't afford to take our foot off the gas in April.
  2. February '28 A mixed start to the season with 2 wins and a loss. Which is expected this early due to the team still gelling together. We are still getting offers for our youth prospects and starters from teams in the league above us. I'm trying to make sure this team is not a selling club unless it's money we cannot reject. Despite 2 wins and a loss in the first 3 we are still in a strong position early on with a few strong J1 potential teams around us. Feb is a short month as we go into March with a cup game.
  3. Pre Season Update Transfers Alot of out going to steady the ship and get rid of the players that don't want to play in the second division with the 2 incoming as above and then 2 young Brazilians to keep with the Brazilian culture at the club thanks to players like Zico. First we have Rodrigo - A young CAM to sit behind the striker and alot of promise going for the future. Then we have Masaffera - A make shift winger with the ability to play behind the striker if needed. Pre-Season Results
  4. The chance of winning the AFC in Australia based on the talent and vs Saudi Arabia is much lower than it is in Japan. On top of that I can't sit and watch Antlers be a yoyo club with the history they have. always had a soft spot for them since pro evo days. And the finances
  5. Season Preview Favourites to bounce straight back up and with a 30million transfer budget we should be able to bring some prospects in to build this club back up. First 2 signings of the season I'm dipping into South Africa and Hungry Lions.
  6. J-League The pull was ultimately too much for me to turn down The Kashima Antlers (鹿島アントラーズ, Kashima Antorāzu) are a professional football club based in Kashima, Ibaraki, Japan. They currently play in the J1 League, the top tier of Japanese professional football leagues. The club has financial backing from Mercari, a Japanese e-commerce company.[3] Since the J.League's creation and introduction of professional Japanese football in 1993, Kashima have proven themselves to be by far Japan's most successful football club in terms of trophies won, having won the J1 League title a record 8 times, the J.League Cup a record 6 times, the Emperor's Cup 5 times and the Japanese Super Cup a record 6 times for an unprecedented nineteen major domestic titles.[4] Continentally, Kashima became Asian champions when they won the AFC Champions League in 2018.[5] The club also won the J.League Cup / Copa Sudamericana Championship on 2 occasions in 2012 and 2013. Internationally, Kashima has made two appearances in the FIFA Club World Cup where in the 2016 edition, the club qualified as the host of the tournament.[6] Kashima notably became the only club to qualify from the first round until the final where they would go on to lose to 2015–16 UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid 4–2 after extra time with Gaku Shibasaki scoring both goals for Kashima.[7] Kashima are also one of only two clubs to have competed in Japan's professional top-flight football every year since its inception (the other being Yokohama F. Marinos). Home stadium [edit] Kashima Soccer Stadium Kashima Soccer Stadium has been the home ground of Kashima since 26 March 1993. The Kashima Soccer Museum, opened in 2004 is set for wide-scale renewal, while the Wellness Plaza, established in 2006, is also in line for similar improvements, including the installation of a public bath. There is a real awareness of furthering stadium use on non-matchdays to ensure Kashima Stadium is a hub for the local region. On the other hand, the importance of Kashima Stadium as a sacred football ground will also increase. The stadium has been selected as a host venue for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, meaning it will international competition for the first time since the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Ahead of that, the stadium will also host the Ibaraki National Sports Festival this year, at which athletes will gather from all over the country. In 2008 a 500-metre LED wraparound advertising board, the longest in Asia, was installed at the front of the second tier. In 2017, the latest large electronic screens were added to both the north and south stands as part of the commitment to improving the viewing environment for visitors.
  7. December '27 December was a mixed bag of results with my only victory coming against Victory, the team needed to be reminded what it feels like to win and they did just that. Still at the summit but with the teams below me all having games in hand how long it'll last no one knows. Kashima Antlers are once again managerless they've really turned into a yoyo club in the J-League and as much as it will be a step back in my mission I'm tempted just to get them back to their glory days.
  8. November '27 November saw an unbeaten month, until the start of December which saw us beaten by the defeated opponents in the Australian cup. Some would say this is Karma I say it was a poor performance. That result leaves us top by 2 points with our neighbours having a game in hand going into December. We need Western to slip up and ourselves to pick back up.
  9. Love this, great season well done
  10. Youth Intake Let me introduce you to the Elite Talents of Sydney FC 2027. Kostas Jackson Duncan Nik Woodyard-Virtue All 3 up and training with the first team providing valuable time.
  11. This has been my goto tactic since using it in pass the save. It's brought me the CAF Champions League and Hungry Lions to their first League title in my Pentagon save and currently unbeaten with Sydney FC. It's taken me to a top 4 finish with Sheffield Wednesday in another save. Won back to back titles with Rijeka in Croatia. It's a very underrated tactic which you can tweak to fit your team as you see fit. Currently moved from a DLP to a Volante
  12. Has Chiesa been injured not seen much of him? I can see it being a big summer in regards to out goings to be able to fund the replacements for Salah and VDV. Nunez won't be a huge miss and I think Jota has declined a little this season. Kelleher won't be a miss with the keeper from Valencia coming in.
  13. Looking at them I believe you will with the right staff and training. What’s your method on bringing them through?
  14. I wasn’t, I don’t think they’d be of standard to take that step up. Did bring Luis Boa Morte in as a coach at Sydney though. Probably came for the beaches
  15. October '27 Off the back of the cup win we have continued that fine form with the first 3 games of the season, the only team that is currently matching us in the league on GD and wins is Western Sydney. Khan has started the season as I predicted he would with 5 goals in 3 games. The AFC Champions League is still currently in the group stages which means we don't join this yeah we join August 2028.
  16. Pre-Season '27/28 Firstly I was not aware there is a 5 month gap between the end of the Australian A-League ending and starting again including pre-season. Hence the break in posts. Secondly..... The league hasn't kicked off yet but we already have domestic success thanks to the Australian Cup, which apparently allows access to the AFC Champions League... running out 4-2 winners vs Newcastle Jets. A great way to start the season. Season Preview I'm not about to let us come second behind our neighbours. Transfers Tyler Robers on a free was the big marquee signing this season to cover the left wing. Keeping up the rivalry with Kaizer Chiefs by weakening them with the signing of Dansin for a Volante. Magnus Dalpiaz on loan from Bayern to help with squad depth at centre back. Players to watch Let me introduce you to 3 promising first team Socceroo's Corey Khan, Advanced Forward - Was gaining interest from Man Utd until I offered him a professional contract Luke Migliaccio - Inside Forward on the right. Another with a bright future to build around. Both him and Khan are the future of Sydney FC and 2 of the 3 that are going to bring continental success in the future Sakis - Central Defender. Solid at the back in pre season and during the cup win. Going to be the spine of this team Pre Season results Schedule
  17. Looks like the transfer at the end of the season for TAA has all but been confirmed. Off to Real on a free. I think this is poor management from FSG surely they knew this was going to happen and should have got money for him instead of allowing him to walk. Same with Salah and big Virj.
  18. Seems like fires are that hot topic right now - don't mind the pun. Looking at the last picture the devastation and the livelihoods lost 😞 My city has had a spate of arson attacks through March with no one arrested yet or any news on if they're linked or if its random. Over the weekend we saw fires around the country because of Farmers setting land on fire to burn weed before bird nesting season.
  19. Wish I could develop youngsters like that some serious quality there man
  20. AFC Champions League Elite The AFC Champions League Elite (abbreviated as the ACL Elite) is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation, and contested by Asia's top-division football clubs. It is the most prestigious club competition in Asian football, played by the national league champions (and, for some nations, one or more runners-up) of their national associations.[1] Introduced in 1967 as the Asian Champion Club Tournament, the competition rebranded as AFC Champions League in 2002 following the merger of the Asian Club Championship, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup and the Asian Super Cup. It was rebranded again in 2024 to its current name. A total of 24 clubs compete in the league stage of the competition, divided into East and West regions (12 teams each). The winner of the AFC Champions League Elite qualifies for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup, and also for the next edition of the AFC Champions League Elite league stage if they have not already qualified through their domestic performance. The most successful club in the competition is Al-Hilal with a total of four titles. Al Ain are the current champions, having beaten Yokohama F. Marinos in the 2024 final.
  21. Sydney FC Sydney Football Club, commonly known as Sydney FC, is a professional soccer club based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. They compete in the top-tier men's league in Australia, the A-League Men. Established in 2004, they were among the eight founding teams for the inaugural 2005–06 A-League season. Domestically, Sydney FC have won a record five A-League Men Championships, four A-League Men Premierships and two Australia Cups. Additionally, the club has won the OFC Champions League once in international competition. Before the 2018–19 season, the club’s home ground was the Allianz Stadium in Moore Park. When the NSW Government announced that the stadium would be redeveloped before the 2019 New South Wales state election, the team temporarily played at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Jubilee Oval and Leichhardt Oval. In October 2022, the club returned to the newly rebuilt Allianz Stadium.[6] In 2023, Sydney FC completed their new training and administration facility, Sky Park, in North Ryde.[7][8] During the club's first seven years, it was the only A-League team in Sydney, attracting a broad fanbase across the Sydney Metropolitan Area.[9] Sydney FC are Australia's most supported A-League club, with 693,000 fans as of 2023.[10] Its leading supporter group, "The Cove," derives its name from Sydney Cove, a bay on the southern shore of Sydney Harbour. They compete in the local Sydney Derby against cross-town rivals Western Sydney Wanderers. As the two most decorated clubs in the A-League Men and fierce inter-state rivals, the club also shares a long-standing rivalry with Melbourne Victory, known as The Big Blue. Alex Brosque is the club's all-time top goal scorer, with 83 goals in all competitions. Rhyan Grant has the most appearances for the club, having played 369 games.
  22. May '27 What a team. What a journey. What a season. I've never been so proud of a bunch of lads for achieving so much in a history that isn't steeped in accolades. Winning the double, winning the league, doing the unthinkable and winning the Champions League. This team is special and will be missed. This is the end of the road in Africa.... Farewell my Lions.
  23. All will be revealed shortly mate
  24. April '27 Oh April, April, April, April, what a month you have been. From the comeback vs Wydad Casablance 3-1 down to 5-4 winners to progress to the CAF Champions League Semi Final. To beating TS Galaxy to capture the League title for the first time in the history of Hungry Lions. to decimating ES Tunis both home and away for a showdown over 2 legs with our dearest rivals Kaizer Chiefs, yes the very same Kaizer Chiefs we have played 5 times already. the next 3 games are as follows, Kaizer Chiefs in the league.... followed by a 2 leg final with Kaizer Chiefs. Win or lose the final what a journey this season has been.
  25. CAF Champions League Quarter Finals Second Leg Highliths Seeing Bull go down injured in the 6th minute my heart sank, is this how we go out?
