  1. Not going to rush this challenge 8 months to go til new FM haha. It would have been hard to reject them if they did offer the job, I feel a connection with this team and I'm enjoying taking them to dizzy heights.
  2. Pre Season 26/27 Another season another Preview. We are seeing a marked improvement year on year on the odds and position from the Media. Competing on five fronts this season with our first ever Champions League campaign kicking off against Vipers FC where we aim to avoid an RKO. During the pre-season, Sundowns offered me a job interview which I'd have been stupid to decline as it would be the best chance on paper to win the Champions League. But I'm still not in a position of strength to get the top jobs in South Africa yet so they went elsewhere. We currently have actual money offers in for 2 players this season so more progress as we're not fully counting on free transfers. As the team grows the owner is allowing me to grow with them.
  3. April/May '26 A fantastic season with us qualifying for the CAF Champions League for finishing 3rd. We've improved season on season so far but winning the CL at the first go is a big ask. The board expecting us to be competitive, with 200k in the transfer kitty it's going to be strengthening the depth for next season. Kimvuidi has been the standout performer for the team while on loan which has meant he's been offered a permanent contract which he's signed. But I want toe mention the goal scoring exploits of our CB Gordinho.
  4. I have Australia but unfortunately I don't have New Zealand available. I keep looking for jobs in Australia but nothing has come up yet.
  5. March '26 Despite 4 fantastic wins including a last minute win vs Orlando in the Nedbank cup, succumbing to a loss to the Chiefs is Karma, but a complete capitulation vs Magesi after being 6-2 up at one point is totally unacceptable. 4 games to go 2nd is still achievable. A win in the Nedbank also means qualification for the Orange CAF Confederations Cup
  6. February '26 Another strong month through February the draws versus Sundowns and Orlando may have cost us in the title race with 7 games remaining. Nedbank round 2 versus Orlando during March to keep another cup in play. Needing the Chiefs and Sundowns to take some L's
  7. January '26 A fantastic run of form continuing through January has been helped by the signing of Dan Ndhlovu. Much needed depth was needed at left back and Dan plays all down the left side. Looking to keep the form going in the second half of the season and hopefully push on with the trophy in the bag from one cup. Beginning to think that this team is going to be something special and leaving them will be a sad sad day when it comes.
  8. December '25 December was the month we win our first trophy with a hard fought win over Sundowns. Hoping this will boost us onto either another cup with the Nedbank cup or a title push in the last half of the season.
  9. November '25 A quick month of November with the only 3 games of the month being played within 8 days. Semi Finals of the Telkom Knockout vs Cape Town City the only game in December. Time to start looking into friendlies to keep the lads sharp. A very close game against reigning champions Sundowns and a 4-0 win vs AmaZulu as payback for the cup exit in the MTN8 cup. Asked the board if I can do my Continental badges during the next 4 months.
  10. October '25 A fantastic October see's us still unbeaten in the league after 11 games, Kaizer Chiefs have become my whipping boys. Another little cup run could be on the cards hoping we don't dip in form like we did last season and this form can push us further.
  11. September '25 Still unbeaten in the league with the only loss in September coming in the MTN8 semi final second leg in a close fought game ending in 2-1 to AmaZulu. We don't seem to be able to see out leads at the minute which is worrying but on the other side of the scale we can score goals.
  12. August '25 An unbeaten start to the season in the league albeit 1 win 2 draws but still a solid start. Gave up a 2-0 lead vs Baroka in the last game but injuries meant playing 17 yr olds. the 5-1 win vs Kaizer Chiefs is going to take some beating in the MTN8 cup but I have no complaints about the start we've made. 2nd leg of the MTN8 semi final to play at home vs AmaZulu is winnable. Could we win a trophy this season?
  13. 25/26 Pre Season. My third season, and the teams 2nd in the Premier Division. this year we are fighting on 4 fronts with the Nedsbank Cup, the Telkom Knockout, MTN 8 and the League to play for. We are again favourites to be fighting relegation so a good start again this season would be fantastic. Transfers Out The 2 to leave this season Transfers In The biggest incoming is the return of Benjamin Wallis from his loan spell to a permanent transfer. Young and equally adept at the back, with the other paid transfer being Mathiba who can help at CDM as depth when needed.
  14. April/May '25 2 fantastic results at the end of the season was not a fan of the gap between the games though. We was unable to get a friendly during that period but the boys didn't mind the rest. Finishing 6th means we qualify for the MTN 8 cup which is played between the top 8 teams with a chance to win £423,820 (at the time of Google Finance) After getting my National B License the board have agreed to let me get my National A License. Despite this being a Pentagon challenge I'm quickly becoming attached to this team and growing it. The chairman has a vision and I'm all in. We say goodbye to Motshegwa who retires from the game. He was instrumental getting us promoted in my first year. The turn around in finances has been an enjoyable watch with the hope they continue the same path they are currently going.
  15. Or Gerrard puts on his boots....
  16. March '25 3 loses in March left us in a very precarious position but a win over SuperSport means we are safe. Finally in the black with the finances means we go into next season stronger and a new contract signed. 2 games left to play before we plan for the new season.
  17. January/February '25 A very quiet January with no in's or outs led us into Feb with the same team we started with. Which takes me to Feb, 2-2 Draw with Kaizer Chiefs set the month off despite losing to Cape Town Spurs and TS Galaxy wins against Royal and Baroka have left us in a solid position with 5 games remaining. Due to injuries I had to dip into the youth ranks which seems to have found myself a gem in Qaba Postmaburgs Phil foden scoring 2 in 2 alternating him using the Wenger Method of play every other week
  18. December '24 After picking up 1 point in December, we currently sit 8th 5 points off 15th. Thinking the only way I may be able to get my first continental title is trying a different continent I applied for the Cerezo Osaka position after their relegation from the JLeague. This was unsuccessful but AmaZulu FC offered me a job interview, which I took before realising their position. They're currently playing in the Orange CAF confederations cup (next one down from the Champions League) which was also unsuccessful. On the other hand I am currently going through the National B licence with Hungry Lions. The journey with the Lions continues.
  19. Said to a colleague at work, unless Gerrard is lacing up his boots LFC won't slip..... I think enough time has past to be able to joke about it now
  20. November '24 Despite the poor run through November we still managed to climb a place in the league. With hitting the midway point sitting 9 points clear of 15th. Finances in the first half of the season has been on the up drastically. At the mid stage point we have 1 standout performer for us Unfortunately he's just picked up an injury keeping him out for 2 months.
  21. I reckon this is why @Derek is quiet lately. Guys already celebrating winning the league 'on a bender til they win it'
  22. October '24 Coming to the mid season period sitting 7th 15 points off 32 points. October was a very mixed bag of results with a great performance against Sundowns and in the cup against Spurs. Still been unable to go for the next coaching badge but that may change. The only jobs coming up as insecure in the prem is with Richards Bay and Golden Arrows who currently sit at the bottom of the table I just have to hope the teams good season doesn't go unnoticed.
  23. Was having this discussion with my friend at the start of the season with him being a big gooner. A striker should be priority in the Summer but do they throw money and go all out for Sesko? of get Vlahovic for 33mill? Personally the best choice would be Sesko as he will develop and has years on Vlahovic.
  24. September '24 A sticky 2 games in September with South African power houses Kaizer Chiefs giving us a good tonking to welcome us to the league. October is a fun month with 7 games 1 of those against last seasons champions Sundowns, then back to back games against Cape Town Spurs formally CT Ajax. Finances are slightly improving but we are still currently in the red. The new chairman is looking for somewhere to build a new stadium while we've moved across to Marks Park in Johannesburg.
  25. Thank you pal, the save is tough financially which is why to progress towards the champions league I need to move to a bigger club despite the new chairman building a new stadium
