All right, the next update. Last time I ended the season, but did not update this thread yet. I can't even remember correctly how the games went since it has been a while ago, but we did win the Eredivisie again, but were knocked out of the CL against Man City in the QF. We also managed to win the KNVB Beker once more against a tough AZ. Endrick finished the season with 57 league goals, and 78 goals in total. Schedule and results League table Great season overall, but obviously I became a little bored with it. Also, I can't seem to center my text as before.. Onto the transfers... Nothing much notable really... Only player I brought in is a Brazilian wonderkid Yan Cavalcanti for 20M, no notable transfers out as well, it has been fairly quiet. Profile As you can see I'm a little further now, half the season through, but I will update on that one later!

Obviously we have played the game for, well, some of us, 20 odd years. I recently read some stuff about players (mostly newgens) getting cancer treatment in the game, getting your son through the youth academy, coming out as gay etcetera. I think my weirdest experience was this one, maybe I told it before, can't find it, but I tell again. In 2018 Holland did not qualify for the World Cup in real life, but in my FM18 game, they actually did qualify. With only few qualification games left, they went to Russia. In my game Van Wolfswinkel (my main striker at the time) had a very good campaign, and was selected. He was pretty much average, compare him to Weghorst or someone similar, maybe even not as good as Weghorst. He started games on the bench obviously a lot, but whenever he came on he most often scored. Holland went all the way in that game and won a World Cup when in real life they did not even qualify. With Wolfswinkel playing way above his average as their main striker since the Quarter Finals. Anyone else had remarkable things happen which could not possibly happen in real life?

Totally okay. Like I said before, my club deserves to be last, I have accepted it. I am not afraid of relegation, I am afraid my club won't exist anymore anytime soon

Vitesse is not a big club, and at the time of writing, Ajax was 18th. My club deserves it anyway, for various reasons. And. Asshole. 😘

Because we're bottom, and tactically Cocu was just godawful. The players brought in (mostly on loan or on a free) are sub-par quality as well. Matches are just boring to watch, we can't seem to score or create chances for that matter, and the defence is leaky as hell... In a nutshell. Good luck with Utrecht, they are also struggling in real life, but in FM they have a decent team, I believe! 😃

Little update, I am not playing every day, still need to get in the game. But updates will come for sure! Meanwhile, in real life, Vitesse took over last place of Ajax, and Cocu left the club as manager. The club is still waiting for approval of the KNVB of the takeover, 15 months now. So, okay, my opinion... Although Vitesse is my club, I genuinely believe they will relegate. Not only that, I think they deserve it. The club has been losing multi-millions over the past 20 years and maybe more. Any other club would have ceased to exist, but here we are, and Vitesse is still here. Though I wonder... For how long......

Off course I did! We will probably not see that again, ever. Anyway, they won two matches in a row and are in 11th place now 😭

What do all these (big) clubs have in common?

Dark is a great show, but was also pretty complicated to follow at times. After season 2 it got too complex for me... Maybe I will start it one day again

Bodies is a good show on Netflix. A dead body has been found in a certain street in 2023. That very same body has also appeared in the same street in 1941 and 1890. What happened?

Still got to watch that one! First I wanted to see the last season of Sex Education, which I think became one of my favorite series to watch on Netflix. There isn't much I can recommend on Prime or Disney+ at the moment. I do watch Ahsoka (as mentioned before) but still have not watched The Mandolarian, although I am really into Star Wars. Disney does not offer interesting new content imho, same with Prime. Sure, there are some hidden gems maybe such as The Man In The High Castle (Prime) and Lie to Me, The Patient (Disney), but I cannot recommend anything else... maybe anyone else can?

Actually, I have been reading a lot about that club, and that they were a huge force (for their stature) in the past. Recently on a flight to Macedonia, with Wizz Air, which is Hungarian, I read up about them again in a magazine onflight, and thought, why not? I never do career paths actually... Which is the whole point of the game obviously 🤣 once I did a game starting out at LA Galaxy with Beckham, but after becoming champions in season 3 I resigned, not generating much interest and became bored so I quit

Sex Education, Ahsoka (if you are into Star Wars), Lie to Me, Liebes Kind (German), Ballers (American Football series), Ragnarok (Norwegian series about a young guy who gains the powers of Norwegian thundergod Thor), Black Mirror, Lillyhammer, The Lincoln Lawyer, Painkiller is decent but Dopesick is superior. Series I watched recently

I am playing with the idea to start with Ferencvaros in Hungary, and start from there. Actually wanted to play this edition with them, but cannot find the motivation at the moment.

I was wondering how SI are going to implement this. Women and men's football is so different. Not to criticise, but amateur male teams beat women's national teams all the time. How would they handle the ca and pa for example, compared to men?

Wow, finishing that high certainly must be a surprise! Take them to the title next and promote again, I think they should be there, just like Schalke by the way, as well as Hamburger SV... All 'fallen giants'

Very nice first season! I didn't even know 1860 went down to 3. Liga. Didn't they share the Allianz Arena with Bayern before?
